Brianna has had an IV inserted into her hand and has now started her Renal Gamma test to see if we can find the cause of recurrent and painful infections. She has chosen to watch Happy Feet during her 50 minute scan, but doesn’t appear to be really paying attention to the movie. She looks very sad lying on the scanning bed and it breaks my heart to see her go through so much, so often. The doctor will give her a radioactive substance through her IV,into her kidneys to show renal function and a possible obstruction.
When this scan is done, we will head over to the another area of the radiology department for her to get an ultrasound.
